The flagbearer
of the United Front Party (UFP),Nana (Dr) Agyenim Boateng has hinted that ,the
Party‘s leadership are currently hunting for a running mate to partner him in
the forthcoming general elections slated for 7th December, 2016.
According to UFP
flagebearer, barring unforeseen circumstances, they would name the running mate
by the end of September to enable them work assiduously to form the next
government.
Dr.Agyenim
Boateng disclosed this in an interview with Hello Fm, a local based radio
station in Kumasi.
The 2016 UFP
flagbearer who doubles as the National Chairman of the Party, said very soon he
will announced his policy statement to the nation but revealed that, when given
the nod as the next President of Ghana, his government will work hard to
improve the economy to make Ghana’s cedi stronger that the United States
American dollar since currently One dollar is equivalent to four Ghana cedis
indicating the weakness of the country’s currency.He said UFP will also focus
more on agricultural Sector as part of it’s determination to create more job
opportunities for the unemployed youth in the country.Dr.Agyenim used the
opportunity to thank all those who have supported him and his party and
continue to support them especially during the National delegates Congress
which brought together about 2,600 delegates to acclaim him as the 2016
Flagbearer of UFP.Gyataba as he is popularly known in the political landscape
gave assurance that, he will work assiduously to justify the confidence reposed
in him as the party standard bearer .Saying “I will never disappoint UFP
delegates and supporters as well as Ghanaians. We are determined to win 2016
elections because we are not only in the race to add up to the numbers but to
pull surprise and win”, he explained.
The UFP
flagbearer promised to run an all inclusive government should Ghanaians give
him the mandate. Explaining the reason of chosen persons with disability band
for the congress held at Centre for National Cultural last week, Gyataba
indicated that, their selection was to prove to the whole world that, every one
is important in the nation's building as far as UFP was concerned.
In a related
development, the UFP Flagbeaerer has told the listeners of Agyekwa Fm 101.9 in
Kumasi that, as part of his decision to run all inclusive government should Ghanaians
give him the nod, “UFP will make Nana Akufo-Addo Speaker of Parliament.
According to Gyataba if Nana Addo wants to create dam in every village then
very soon the whole country will be swallowed up by dams.
