A leading member
of the main opposition Party, NPP in the Ashanti region,J.K Owusu Boakye aka General
Abito has predicted that, Nana Akufo Addo, the flageaberr of NPP will win the
general elections one touch. However, the incumbent President, John Dramani
Mahama will contest the outcome of the result.
Commenting on
whether the Electoral Commission (EC) has shown commitment to supervising free
and fair elections slated for 7th December, 2016,General Abito as he
is popularly known the political landscape, said he was not convinced the Commission was rather to be fair .Many people
have a lot of issues with the EC using just 21 days for the mini registration
and usING 40 days for proxy .Read my lips, the 2016 general elections is still
born because all stakeholders have not done well to ensure free and fair
elections before and after”.
Mr.Boakye who is
also the Special Assistant to the NPP Member of Parliament (MP) for Tafo-Pankrono
constituency thinks that, the nation was wasting funds on National Peace
Council, National Commission for Civil Education (NCCE) among other entities
for doing nothing and termed them as paranoid.
Is Ghana at .war
for UA to set up National Peace Council instead of National cohesion to promote
coexistence? As a nation irrespective of one’s political or ethnic religion
need to promote cohesion.
The NPP steward
predicted that, whoever emerges winner in the forthcoming general elections
will be contested by the defeated
candidate.
Meanwhile, the
National Democratic Party (NDC) communication member who was also on the
show,Sawadoho Mahmoud down played the assertion by Mr.J.K.Owusu Boakye and described
it as a vain intimidation. He said the
NPP led by Nana Akufo Addo will lose the 2016 elections again and the only
thing they can do is to go to court again. But like the President said the
Courts cannot give NPP what Ghanaian voters have not given to them .
The NDC
Communicator who sounded confident of President Mahama victory encouraged
Ghanaians to treat the NPP intimidation with the necessary contempt it deserves
because they can’t do anything should they lose the elections which they would.
Don’t be intimidated or allow yourselves to be intimidated by the NPP ugly and
vain threats but be bold and come out to vote massively for the NDC and
President Mahama.
On his part, Mr.Kofi
Afrifa Debrah, the Progressive People’s Party (PPP),2016 Parliamentary
Candidate for Nhyiaeso constituency urged Ghanaians to reject the two parties
thus NDC and NPP and vote for PPP to ensure peace and development. He
attributed the challenges confronting the nation to the failure of the two
parties which have had opportunity to serve the country under the forth
Republic.
