Relation Officer PRO of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) Mr. Kwame
Frimpong has debunked the allegations against the institution over National
Health Insurance Scheme broke in the hospital.According to him, NHIS is
effective within the hospital instrument but extra charges incur, when the NHIS exceed its capacity to afford.He
also emphasized on some amount of charges allegedly "
one day delivery at the labour ward cost Ghc250.00,two or more days cost Ghc 500.00, delivery through surgery pays Ghc 1000.00 to Ghc 2000.00, hyenia surgery pays Ghc 500.00 and bedspread rented to patients cost ghs15.00 per night " are all false reportage to disgrace such reputable institution. Mr. Kwame Frimpong addressed the media that, the hospital does not have capacity anymore to collect physical cash from its clients but rather ordered financial institution called fidelity bank to assist their day to day financial activities.
