SAMUEL SARPONG CHARMS NHYIAESO NPP SUPPORTERS TO DEFECT AHEAD OF DECEMBER POLLS.


less than three months to the general elections, the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Nhyiaeso constituency within the Kumasi metropolis continue to make a big inroad in his determination to win the seat for his party amidst several strategies.
Just few days ago, fifty (50 ) young men and women at Pataase within the Nhyiaeso constituency who claimed to be supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) openly declared their   support to hon. Samuel Sarpong,2016 NDC Parliamentary candidate.
The defectees also promised Hon.Samuel Sarpong  who doubles as the Managing Director of State Housing Company Limited (SHC) to work to ensure  that, he wins the Nhyiaeso seat for the first time for NDC come  7th  December,2016 general elections.
Meanwhile, Hon.Sarpong Samuel has quickly iron out the confrontation that ensued between some supporters of the Queen mother of Daaban ,Nana Yaa Asantewaa which she was accused to have instigated which nearly marred the Nationl Sanitation Day at the area,last Saturday 3rd September,2016.
To former Ashanti Regional Minister and former KMA Chief Executive joined hands with the queen mother of Dabaan as well as the residents to clear the debris at Sokoban among other areas.
The demonstrate their maturity and smoking of peace pipe, the Queen-mother held shovels and wheel-barrows to lead the way for the clean-up exercise to continue amidst cheers from both supporters.
It would be recalled that, the Nhyiaeso clean- up exercise which had begun at a smooth pace was nearly marred at Daaban as some members who were alleged to be household members of Nana Yaa Asantewaa, Queen mother of the community disrupted proceedings.
Eye witness narrated that ,some men numbering about six (6)confronted members of Hon. Samuel Sarpong fun club who had joined in the clean-up exercise with their T-shirt and protested that they took off their candidate’s t-shirts since it was not time for political campaigning and this nearly degenerated into confusion as the fun club members also resisted the attempts by the six men to threaten them.
Not even the intervention by Dr Sarpong who had reached the area moments after the disagreements calmed tempers down as he too was insulted and nearly pelted with stones at the area.
In a related Development, hon. Samuel Sarpong donated five (5) packets of roofing sheets to the Chief of Sokoban and his elders for the roofing of their Community Centre project.

The 2016 NDC Parliamentary candidate explained that, the donation forms part of his continued support to communities that participate in the National Sanitation Day exercise, the monthly held clean-up exercise.Hon.Osei Tutu aka Soldier Man, the Assembly member for Sokoban electoral area who received the items on behalf of the community expressed their profound gratitude to hon. Samuel Sarpong for his timely donation. He said the  iron sheets would be use for its intended purpose that is to complete the roofing of the area’s community center which is undergoing renovation.
