The Chief
Executive Officer (CEO) of Alex Nuamah Enterprise, dealers of imported quality
paints at Domeabra near Anwomaso within the Kumasi Metropolis, has debunked the
claim that his imported paints are causing health effects on people.
He explained
that, he imports paints that are not hazardous to the health of Ghanaians to be
precise his catchment areas.
The CEO who was
speaking in an exclusive interview with the Trust Newspaper said hazardous
paints cannot be imported straight way to Ghana without going through vigorous
procedures.”The procedures you pass through before you get the authority to
import hazardous paints would even frustrate you, why should I go through such
frustration?
According to
him, though, his paints are non-hazardous; he tries as much as possible to
provide protective items to every worker during working hours. Mr.Nuamah said
in order to serve clients better he has decided to relocate to Essianimpong
near Ejisu for good and better services. On his company social responsibility
to the catchment area, the CEO said forty (40) youth in the area have been
employed to help reduce the unemployment ratio. He said a toilet facility has
been built for Anwomaso his former location. That the nearby communities also
assisted him on his weekly (Fridays) clean-up exercise with some tokens.
