A renowned medical professional who works at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital Kumasi, Dr.Ernest Opoku has declared his intention to contest the parliamentary seat of Atwima Kwanwoma constituency by picking parliamentary nomination form yesterday.
As an independent candidate, he revealed to
the media that there have been consultation meetings with Nana Addo, the flagbearer
of NPP to rescind his decision to
contest the seat as independent candidate but due to incompetency of Hon.Appiah
Kubi, he has to contest to free his people from slavery.
He said, some
supporters of Hon. Appiah Kubi have been trying to get him step down by leveling
against him that he is being financed by President Mahama but it does not work
.He related President Mahama to Hon. Appiah Kubi as they are in the same incompetent
level, and promised to campaign for Nana Addo to win come general election. Meanwhile,
information emanating from a close source indicates that the disciplinary
committee of the opposition NPP in the Atwima Kwanwoma constituency has
suspended six elected executive's members indefinitely on the grounds of
article 3”D “of the party's constitution to desist from attending any party
functions and barred not to hold any position as an officers.
