ASHANTI RCC HOLDS YOUTH ENTREPRENEURIAL SUMMIT.

The Ashanti Regional Minister, John Alexander Ackon says a lot of opportunities abound in the region that the youth should tap into to succeed in life. According to him, it is only when the youth pursue their dreams with passion and determination to think outside the box that will guarantee them success.
Mr. Ackon said the youth are expected to adhere to the values of service, sacrifice and discipline which are necessary pre-requisites for a successful life.  Mr. Ackon was speaking at the maiden Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Summit in Kumasi. The event, under the theme, “Tapping Into The Opportunities In Ashanti Region” was organized by the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council under the auspices of the Regional Minister. It was aimed at equipping the youth with entrepreneurial skills. Additionally, it was a unique platform for knowledge sharing and interaction with seasoned entrepreneurs and achievers. About 500 graduate youth participated in the conference. Mr. Ackon explained that the summit is to facilitate Ghana’s economic growth by harnessing the vision and creativity of young entrepreneurs through mentorship. In a presentation on the topic, “Unleashing Your Potentials To Succeed In Life”, the Chief Executive Officer of Kharis Group, Dr. Randy Osae Bediako urged the youth to be hard working, have a positive mindset, persevere and be ready to take risk in order to make a positive impact in the society. He said it is also essential for the youth to pursue self-development and be strategic in networking with those who will help them succeed in their businesses.  The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of British International School in Accra, Madam Nadia Ismalia who spoke on “How To Start and Grow a Global Brand” urged the youth to make use of the various support tools and relevant business and entrepreneurial information available for the development of their businesses. She said although they may not have readily available funds to start a business, they can access modern business development support systems that assist small enterprises to grow.
