PRESIDENT MAHAMA WILL WIN MORE THAN 20,000 VOTES IN AFIGYA SEKYERE EAST-SALIM.



Mr.Awudu Salim, the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary candidate for Afigya Sekyere East constituency in the Ashanti region, has predicted that, he will deliver the seat for the NDC come December 7th general elections.
According to him, President John Mahama will also get not less than 20,000 votes as part of the party’s target of a reviewed 1.5 million votes in the Ashanti region.
He told the listeners of Garden City Radio in Kumasi that, President Mahama led administration has done well to deserve a second term and was with the conviction that, Ghanaians will renew his mandate to continue the good works started.
Mr.Salim said even in the Afigya Sekyere south district, out of about 77 development projects only one has been captured in the NDC’s green book indicating that, the Government has done so many things to better the lives of majority of Ghanaians.
The Afigya Sekyere East NDC Parliamentary candidate said the NDC is now so attractive in the Ashanti region, especially after the regional campaign launch to the extend that, the residents are clamoring for the Party’s T-Shirt.
Commenting on Mr.Ken Ofori –Atta, NPP Director of Fundraising assertion that, Ghanaians will punish Mahama for wasting his opportunities, the NDC MP aspirant said whether Ghanaians will punish President Mahama or not the December 7th will tell.
Mr.Awudu Salim said debt figures quoted by Mr.Ken Ofori-Atta , the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Databank about Ghana was wrong because Bank of Ghana, he said had already denied same after Dr.Mahamudu Bawumia had quoted similar debt stock from Ghc 9.5 billion in 2008 through to GHc 36 billion in 2012 and now to GHC 105 billion.
THE Afigya Sekyere East NDC Parliamentary candidate said the NDC was very focus on winning the polls one-touch and everything necessary strategies have been put in place to ensure that, NDC win the 2016 elections from the Ashanti region.

He said NDC has been improving upon its votes margin in Ashanti region with an average of 200,000 in the previous elections and the region became third to give the party (NDC) more votes but this time round “NDC is targeting and working hard to let Ashanti region place second in giving the NDC votes in the December polls”, he added. It would be recalled that, in 2012 elections,Nana Addo of NPP pulled 37,918 votes (74.68%) and NDC’s President John Mahama had 11,777 votes representing 23.23 %
