A group calling
itself Police Wives Association (POLWA) in the Offinso North District has held
a peace walk in the district capital of Offinso North Akomadan spreading the
peace news across the district because Offinso north happens to be one of the
EC flashpoints .
“We need peace
before during and after the 2016 general elections' Women and children are vulnerable
when there's war hence POLWA preaching of peace ahead of the general
elections”.
In attendance were the Offinso Divisional
Police Commander, District police Commander, Member of Parliament(MP) for
Offinso North, Hon .Augustine Collins Ntim , the District Chief Executive(DCE)
Hon .Dr Samuel Kojo Appiah Kubi Jnr and all
political parties but with no party costumes.
The rest were
Mrs. Oduro Kwarteng ( Offinso Divisional Police Commander's Wife) and Mrs .Zubavial ( Offinso North District Commander's
wife)
