LET ALL GHANAIANS SAY NO TO VIOLENCE AND BALLOT BOX SNATCHING IN DECEMBER POLLS-REV. GRACE FRIMPONG BOATENG URGES

With barely 30 days to this year’s general elections slated for 7th December, 2016, Ghanaians have been asked to do everything possible to help maintain the peace in the country before, during and after the polls.

The General Overseer of Jesus Prayer Ministry at Ejisu-Asawase in the Ashanti region, Prophetess (Mrs) Grace Frimpong Boateng, who gave the advice said Ghanaians cannot take the peace for granted hence there was the need for all and sundry to contribute to ensure free, fair and transparent polls devoid of bloodshed.
Speaking exclusively to the Trust Newspaper after five days fasting and prayers for free, fair and peaceful election for our nation Ghana on the theme “TRIUMPHANT OF THE RIGHTEOUS THROUGH GIVING”(PROVERBS: 29:2).
The five days revival which also coincided with the Church’s annual harvest was used to pray for the peace of the nation, leadership and the entire nation.
The General Overseer called on all believers; especially Christians across the country and all peace loving Ghanaians to continue to pray hard for God’s intervention to enable the country go through another general election without any bloodshed.
“I wish to appeal to all Ghanaians to say no to violence and snatching of ballot boxes to enable eligible Ghanaians decide who they want to become the next President and 275 Members of Parliament (MPs) in free, fair and transparent polls. Moreover, all Ghanaians, especially the youth must desist from all acts that have the tendency to disturb the nation’s peace before, during and after the December 7,2016 general elections”, she pleaded.
The General Overseer of Jesus Prayer Ministry popularly known as Precious Mrs, cautioned the Ministers of the Gospel not to use their pulpit or their position as Church leaders to come out with divisive prophecies, especially with few days to the polls but to pray to God who revealed to them on a professional and decorum manner to handle it in order not to cause fear and panic.
According to her, “as an ordained Prophetess, if I say I don’t know who will win the 2016 polls I am lying but because I am the leader of a Church where members have their political party they support, I need not to come out public with prophecies which have the tendency to create wrong impression and division among the members. I want to also use the opportunity to urge men of God to watch our utterances especially with 2016 general elections just around the corner.
Rev.(Mrs) Grace Frimpong Boateng who for the past 20 years has held series of prayers for the well being ,prosperity and the peace of Ghana, before the just ended five days prayers had earlier on in the year held 40 days fasting and prayers for the peace of the country.
She therefore entreated all Ghanaians especially the youth to shun politicians who must attempt to influence them with money and material things to cause mayhem or confusion.

She also urged political parties and the various Presidential and Parliamentary candidates to desist from engaging machomen to snatch ballot boxes but allow eligible voters decide who they want to become the next President and MPs.
