The residents in Manso Adubia are seriously crying out loud for help due to the fact that their community is in a bad state due to lack of developmental projects in their community
In an interview
with Bohye Ba, a native of Manso Adubia, he said the current condition in Manso
Adubia is seriously dangerous. He said Asuo adubia (river) which saved the town
from f
ire burning 50
years ago has been sold out to the galamsey operators (Chinese miners)by the
elders in the community.
Bohye BA again
said ,they really find it difficult to travel to Kumasi during the rainy season
due to the poor nature of their road and also the dusty conditions on their
road does not encourage traveling during that period.
He further
explained that for about 15 years now, Manso Adubia community does not have
public toilet.
Talking about
education and health Bohye Ba said, currently there is no doctor at Manso Adubia
hospital and also Manso Adubia Junior and Senior high school lacks teaching and
learning materials (TLM’s) .He said all that they are going through is hunger
because there is no more fertile land for farming due to the galamsey
activities in their community. Residents
in Manso Adubia are now appealing to the government to come to their aid immediately.
Hon Akwasi Owusu ,the Assembly Member for the area also lamented about the
neglect of the community in terms of developmental projects.
