
The Parliamentary aspirants contesting in the 2016 general elections in the Afigya Kwabre District, last Saturday joined a peace procession in Kodie to signal their resolve to help protect the prevailing peace as the nation approaches the 7th December polls.
Political party
members, NPP, NDC, CPP of the general public also joined the peace procession
as they spent hours from Afracho to Kodie.The procession, starting from the
Afrancho ended at the Kodie funnel grounds, chanting peace songs and holding
placards with inscriptions of peace messages.
The programme
was organized by the District Security council in the Afigya Kwabre District.
The event was seen as an adjunct to the on-going public sensitization on the
need to maintain peace in the country.Both aspirants in the District Hon
Owuraku Aidoo, NPP aspiring MP and NDC aspiring Hon.

The show as took turns to address the “peace walkers” on a common platform as they converged at the Kodie funnel grounds, where the walk ended.
