He has therefore
asked Mr.Koku Anyidoho to stop grumbling like an “imbecile” as he hit back at
his insults against Dr.Mahamudu Bawumia.
Mr.Kyei said the
NDC deputy general secretary’s recent verbal attacks against the NPP’s vice
Presidential candidate is a deliberate attempt to incite certain ethnic group
against the party.
While describing
the Koku Anyidoho’s as an embodiment of insolence, who has no respect for his
seniors, Mr.Kyei said it’s high time such verbal vituperations are ignored by
the media, especially coming from a “pathetic loose cannon”like Mr.Anyidoho.
The NPP guru’s
comments come in the wake of claims by Koku Anyidoho that Dr.Bawumia is “Mutum
banza (useless person).
Koku Anyidoho
has in the past few months launched a sustained attack on the person of
Dr.Bawumia calling him a liar, claiming he failed to provide an iota of evidence
to back his allegation over 76,286 Togolese nationals are on Ghana’s voters
register.
The former
Presidential spokesperson has vowed to torment Dr.Mahamudu Bawumia, who is a
former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, if he fails to produce his list of
Togoless on Ghana’s voters roll. Addressing a rally of NDC supporters in Kumasi
recently, Koku Anyidoho described Dr.Bawumia as “Mutum Banza”, a Hausa
expression used to describe a worthless person.
But,Mr.Edmund
Kyei who is very close to Dr.Bawumia says the NDC’s deputy scribe lacks the
moral right to query Dr.Bawumia’s integrity, and said, it was laughable for a
loudmouth like Anyidoho to question the sincerity of a man who has
distinguished himself in his career.” It is pathetic to listen to a nonentity
like Anyidoho fighting tooth and nail to discredit Dr.Bawumia.
Ghana is
suffering because elements such as Anyidoho got to the corridors of power. We
were in this country when this same Anyidoho publicly announced the dismissal
of the so-called Ashanti regional director of ECG, when in real fact, no
position of such nature existed. The NPP communications team member therefore
asked ‘’ what is Anyidoho ‘s record when he worked as director of
Communications at the Presidency? He was all over the place”,Mr.Kyei fumed.
