The New
Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Bantama in the Kumasi
Metropolis, Mr.Okyem Aboagye aka Wofa Atta, has tagged the ruling National
Democratic Congress (NDC)Government led by President Mahama as the most
visionless and incompetent in the history of Ghana.
According to
him, the NDC’s gross incompetency, massive corruption has led to the massive
unemployment and the poor economy Ghanaians are currently experiencing.
Speaking at
Garden City Radio in Kumasi, a subsidiary of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC),
the Bantama NPP parliamentary candidate for 2016 general elections said country,
currently was heading towards a wrong direction and urged Ghanaians to come out
in their numbers on December 7th,2016 to vote out President Mahama
and his NDC government.
“I want to
assure Ghanaians that, when given the nod, President Nana Akufo Addo and NPP
Government will not disappoint Ghanaians”.
Sharing his
thought on the topics “7 OUT 10 OF GHANAIANS BELIEVE THE COUNTRY IS HEADING IN
THE WRONG DIRECTION BUT NDC RUBBUSHED THE SURVEY, WAEC CANCELS RESULTS OF 598
WASSCE CANDIDATES AND IT’S IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO RIG ELECTIONS FOR MAHAMA-EC
CHAIR ASSURES, Wofa Atta as he is popularly called in political cycles, despite
the claim by the EC boss, his party will continue to be extra vigilant
especially on the day of voting.
That having
experience what he described in his view NPP didn’t loose 2012 elections, they
will not sit down for it to happen in 2016 general elections.
On WAEC results,
he blames the ruling Government bad management of the economy which has
impacted negatively on both parents and their children.”Because of the
worsening economic conditions or hardship many parents have to work or do two
jobs before they can make ends meet and that has let to low monitoring of their
children’s education.
The poor
handling of Teachers salary and welfare by the government as well as the
electricity crisis among other factors have contributed to the poor performance
of the many students who sat for the exams. The Bantama NPP Parliamentary
candidate for December polls, said when voted Nana Addo/NPP into power, the
economy will work effectively again.
