The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Atwima Kwanwoma district in the Ashanti region, hon. Nana Kwabena Nkrumah and Member of Parliament (MP) for the Constituency ,Hon.Appiah Kubi have clashed over awarded road construction project from Brofoyedu to Foase ,the district and the constituency capital.
According to the
DCE, he lobbied for the project without the Involvement of the Member of
Parliament but the MP has also been campaigning that, he lobbied for the
project. This has created a lot of argument between these renowned Leaders in
the constituency.
Reacting to the
claim by the MP, the NDC constituency chairman of Atwima Kwanwoma, Mr.Baba
Alhassah has rubbished the claim of the MP who is trying to take credit for the
awarded road project.
The NDC Chairman
accused the MP as enemy of progress, and dishonesty leader, because he always
dragged the development of the constituency backwards.
According to
him, the project was lobbied by the DCE, himself and the Ashanti Regional
Minister, who petitioned the Ministry of Roads and Highways to come to their
aid and all these processes were done without the inclusion of the Member of
Parliament (MP) support.
