Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP),Mr.Barnard Antwi Boasiako
aka Chairman Wontumi has warned the former Ashanti Regional Minister who
doubles as ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary candidate for
2016 elections, Hon.Samuel Sarpong to desist from portraying himself as NPP
man.
According to
him, the former Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) who is currently the
Managing Director of State Housing Corporation (SHC), has been going round the
Nhyiaeso constituency carrying himself as if he is or was NPP supporter.”Go and
tell Samuel Sarpong that, he is not NPP Man and should therefore not carry
himself as such”.
The NPP regional
Chairman who rubbished the assertion by Alhaji Collins Dauda, the Minister of
Local Government and Rural Development (MLRD) who is also the incumbent MP for
Asutifi south constituency in the Brong Ahafo region that, Ghanaians should not
vote for NPP because they dislike Muslims, said NPP has also chosen a Muslim as
its running mate.
“You all
remember former President Kufour selected the late Alhaji Aliu Mahama as his
running mate and ended up with him in his second term as a Vice President and
Nana Akufo Addo also a Christian has for three consecutive times chosen Dr.Alhaji
Mahamud Bawumia a committed Muslim as his running mate what else do NDC need to
know or understand that, NPP is not anti-Muslims?
Chairman Wontumi
therefore called on Ghanaians to reject NDC because they are totally confused
after failing to improve the economic of Ghana and vote massively for Nana
Akufo Addo and Dr.Bawumia.
He gave
assurance that, Nana Akufo Addo Government will implement the free Senior
School education promised.Mr.Maxwell Kofi Jumah, the former deputy Minister for
Local Government and Rural Development who is also former KMA Chief Executive and ex-MP for
Asokwa constituency, predicted that NDC Parliamentary candidate for Nhyiaeso
will even vote against himself.” I am telling you that Dr.Samuel Sarpong will
vote for Kennedy Kankam and Nana Akufo Addo in the 7th December,2016
general elections.If he should come out and say it is not true I dare him to
show his vote after casting it on the day of the polls!
Mr.Lord Commey,
the former National Organizer of the Party took his time to read the profile of
2016 Parliamentary candidate of Nhyiaeso,Kennedy Kwasi Kankam who has risen
from the polling station officer through to Regional Organizer before been
rewarded by the delegates of the Party to lead the constituency as
Parliamentary candidate. He reminded the youth of the party that, it pays to
serve the party well because the party rewards hard work and loyalty.Adding
that, it was high time for Ghanaians to rise for a change.”I am calling on the
people of Kumasi, Ashanti region and all Ghanaians to rise for a change to help
NPP come back to power to restore the lost hopes”, he said.
