With barely
three months to December 7th ,2016 general elections, the Founder
and Leader of Heaven Gate Ministry, Nicolas Osei popularly known as Prophet
Kumchacha,has indicated that, he will contest the 2016 Presidential race on the
ticket of Jesus Christ Political Party (JCPP).
“ I have not
changed or abandoned my decision to contest the Presidential race and fervent
plans are underway to ensure that, I become the next President of the republic
of Ghana”.
He under played
the assertion by some Ghanaians that, because he is literate he must have
abandoned his Presidential ambition. He told the listeners of Hello Fm, a local
based radio station in Kumasi that, nothing can stop him from contesting
because education is not a criteria for one to become President of Ghana and
developed the nation. He promised to appoint King Edward ,the morning show host
of Hello fm as his Chief of Staff as well as Sampson Kwame Nyamekye for another
portfolio should he become the next President of Ghana.
On the arrest of
Bishop Obinim,the founder and leader of International God's Way, Prophet
Kumchacha said he has paid a visit to the Bishop but expressed worry about the
way the Ghana Police handcuffed the Bishop after he had honoured the invitation
extended to him by the Tema police relating to flogging of two members of the
church. He therefore asked the leadership of Ghana police majority of whom he
described as God fearing to advise their junior to stop such practice of
handcuff.”Why should they handcuff Bishop OBINIM who had honoured their
invitation to assist with investigation like an armed robber or someone who was
armed at the time of his arrest?
