The Forestry
Manager for Juaso in the Asante Akim District of Ashanti, Mrs. Rebecca Oppann
has tasked all stakeholders in the country to ensure Conservation of the
country’s forest resources from destruction.
She appealed to
the media practitioners to do their best in educating the Public on the
importance of forest to the socio economy.
According to
her, no organization can be efficient and effective without the support of
other stakeholders especially the media. Mrs. Oppan therefore pleaded with the
forestry commission to embark upon more sensitization to help minimize the
negative activities like galamsey, chain saw operations, bush burning etc that
impinges our forests.
