The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) member of Parliament (MP),Allhaji Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak, has failed the people of the Asawasi constituency and should be rejected in the forthcoming general elections slated for 7th December.2016.Mr.Robert Yaw Amankwah,a former Ashanti Regional chairman of NPP who made the call at Asawasi during the official campaign launch ahead of 2016 poll warned that,should the electorates of the constituency make any mistake to retain the sitting Mp it would be disaster.
According to him,Hon.Muntaka even though,has had the opportunity as Deputy Minister of Sports and current Majoriity chief whip in pariliament his three terms stewardship has been a disaster."muntaka is our brother but the facts are that,sinces assuming office he has constructed five police stations as well as one court all in attempt to imprison any one who decide to speak his or her mind.Not a single toilet facility which is one of the basic amenities the people of asawasi needs, has been provided.The former Ashanti regional NPP chairman lamented that,having given the opportunity as adeputy minister of sports muntaka took his girl to the trip and ended up chewing "chemehemge'meat whiles the people of asawasi are still going through hardships.Mr.Amakwah therefore appealed to the electoratet in asawasi to vote against NDC and Hon. muntaka but rather vote massively for Alhaji Alidu come 7th December,2016.
He wanrned that if the electorates of Asawasi should allow themeselved to be deceived by NDC and the sitting MP for Asawasi and vote for them again things shall be worse for the because Hon. Mohammed muntaka will go ahead to put up more police stations and courts to prosecuted them.
