The Ashanti
regional Women's Organizer of the NDC, Hajia Ajara Saddik, has lamented that,
she is being sabotaged by her own Regional Executives of the party, especially
the regional Chairman, regional Secretary and the regional Organizer.
According to her, the sabotage has spread down
to her constituency women organizers who are determined to help her to win votes
for President John Mahama in the coming general elections.
Hajia Ajara Saddik in an interview with Metro
FM's, mentioned Oforikrom constituency, Kumawu constituency and among others as
the areas of constituency women's organizers who have been sidelined, adding
that, the Kumawu women's organizer has been totally sidelined and currently,
"men are calling for women's wings meeting".
She said this, has been a strategy and tactics
being playing by the party executives to sideline her, and her constituency
women organizers who have been legally elected.
“I am being
sabotaged all because I'm a Northerner".
According to her, she drew a women's wing programme which she copied her
regional chairman, Mr.Yao Obimpeh, the Regional Secretary and the organizer and
finally copied the Ashanti regional Minister, but when the Minister told her to
invite the Regional chairman for a meeting to deliberate on the programme,
"he (Yaw Obimpeh) told me that, Regional Minister can not direct him on
what to do" and refused to attend.
According to NDC
regional Women’s Organizer, “there are so many things going on in the party,
but “ I can not say it all, but in due time I will reveal all of it". she
therefore called on the constituency women organizers and the women's wing to
remain resolute and campaign for President John Mahama to win the fast
approaching general elections irrespective of the sabotage in the party and after president has won '' we will advise
ourselves".
