CLAIMERS OF NYAMEKROM STOOL WERE BROUGHT FROM THE NORTH AS LABOURERS-NANA YAW WIREDU.

The Assembly Member of Ahinsan Estate electoral area in the Kumasi metropolis ,Nana Yaw Wiredu who doubles as the gazzeted Chief of Nyamekrom in the New Juaben in the Eastern region,has rubbished the press release circulating in the various media platforms and other networks that,he has been banished by the Ahinsanhene for an embezzlement of funds.

The full statement by Nana Yaw Wiredu reads,“For the avoidance of the doubting Thomases,”Ahinsanhene gave out Ghc 50,000 for the two electoral areas; Ahinsan electoral area and Ahinsan Estate electoral area respectively for developmental projects from the Government’s compensation for the Ahinsan estate lands.

And out of the amount, I Nana Yaw Wiredu received Ghc 25,000 and the remaining Ghc 25,000 went to my colleague Assembly member for Ahinsan electoral area,hon.James Okyere for development projects.

As has been explained earlier and captured by a number of media houses, before the release of the funds, we had explained to the Chief what we intended to use the funds for projects which would be beneficial to the people of the two electoral areas.

I told the Chief that the people of Ahinsan estate were in dire need of mechanized boreholes and improvement of lighting system. After receiving the said Ghc 25,000 from Ahinsanhene, I also approached Bomsohemaa who had also received part of the government’s compensation because my electoral stretched to her land.

And to enable us get another borehole for those in that area, she didn’t hesitate and supported the project with Ghc 10,000.

That out  of the 35,000, I constructed two mechanized boreholes with an overhead tanks at the cost of Ghc 32,000,plus the purchase of brand new laptop for the nephew of Ahinsanhene at the coat of Ghc 1,200 upon his request and the fixing of the streets lights. It is therefore baseless and falsehood that I have failed to account for Ghc 15,000 meant for a toilet facility.The contractor for the two mechanized boreholes which is being managed by the Ahinsan estate community association is still alive for verification.

On the claim that, I am not a chief of Nyamekrom with a stool name ,Nana Kwame Nnuro Agyapong ll, the least said about that ,the better because I am  an accredited Chief of Nyamekrom from the Oyoko Royal family who swear before Dasebre Emeritus Oti Boateng , the Omanhene of New Juaben Traditional area and have also been gazzeted by the Eastern regional House of Chiefs .l am challenging the claimers of the Nyamekrom stool who were brought from the Northern region as labourers by my grand father ,Nana Kwame Nnuro who have turned back claiming that, they are Royals of Nyamekrom to forward their evidence to the House of Chiefs rather than their lousy noise? “I remain the accredited chief of Nyamekrom”,Nana Yaw Weridu noted.
