HUMAN DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE (HDI) HOLDS 1ST GRADUATION

At the forecourt of the School , Human Development Institute (HDI) at Mamponteng on Saturday, Chiefs, Staff of the school, Parents and Guardians, Graduands and a whole lot of people came together to hold the first ever graduation ceremony of the Institution.

Mr. Edward Frimpong, the CEO of the Institution in his speech explained that HDI started singularly in the year 1999 at Providence Preparatory school at Mamponteng with the name,Basic Education and Secondary Teachings(BEST) and in the year 2009,it was registered under Registrar General's Department of Ghana as Human Development Institute(HDI).The school is now registered and recognized as one of the private educational Institutions in the Kwabre East district in the Ashanti region.

Mr. Frimpong further explained that, the Institution exists to offer practically oriented teaching service to mostly Senior High Students who are not able to obtain the necessary tertiary admission requirements to do so.

The Institution also guides students to do career development programs run by other Institutions. Adults who also show interest in adult literacy are not left alone; we assist them in that perspective, he added.

This year, the Institution has started training students who want to take up leadership positions in future to understand the notable characteristics that surrounds leadership.

Computer literacy education unit which aims at training lower and middle class administrative secretaries in ICT environment has also been established.

Not forgetting the students who want to study ICT and computing at the higher levels are also assisted in their pursuits. The Institution has four main departments

Department of Information and Computer Studies ,Department of Management and Language Studies, Department of Adult Education and Department of Secondary Education

Mr .Frimpong made it clear that HDI is envisioned to run certificate, diploma and degree of approved courses as an accredited institution, develop human potentials and to produce institutional leaders who are self motivated, results oriented, visionary and objective driven.

The CEO finally explained that the Institution has been in existence for seventeen years now and this is their first ever graduation ceremony with 29 graudands and for that matter using this opportunity to tell all parents and guardians to send their children to ICT Institutions for them to learn the ICT because in this world now, computers are used to do anything and if they are sending their wards to the ICT school, they shouldn't forget Human Development Institute (HDI) for it is one of the best accredited Institutions in the country.
