IFS-IMF call to cut BoG lending to gov't premature.
Policy think tank,Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS), has described as premature and counterproductive proposals in the new Banking Act to completely eliminate Bank of Ghana’s lending to government.
The institute is rather proposing a new lending limit of five per cent of government revenue, half of the previous limit of 10 per cent, which also included the government’s borrowing from the rest of the economy.

A former National Youth Organiser of the People’s National Convention (PNC) has expressed his disappointment in the Electoral Commission (EC) over its failure to serve him copies of documents regarding National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) registrants.
Abu Ramadan said the Commission was supposed to have served his legal team copies of the documents it submitted to the court registry out of good faith but this was disregarded.
“I believe in the spirit of good faith they [EC] would have served us copies of the documents which they have not and I am surprised about that,” he said.

Some Big Brother UK viewers took to Twitter to express their disapproval and disgust after the reality TV show televised contestants on the show, Marco Pierre White Jnr and Laura Carter engaging in sex under the sheets .

As Malawi continues to face challenges in balancing its economy and with job creation, some are taking on poultry farming for economic relief.
Jackson Shabana, a 30-year-old civil engineering graduate from the Malawi polytechnic, and his wife Maureen, age 29 and also a graduate, are earning a living through poultry farming. The couple ventured into poultry after recognizing their salaries from their respective jobs were not enough to sustain them to the end of next month.
